I had no memory of this software. The neat thing about the review is the difference between the operating systems used for testing.

Sidekick95 is one of the first personal information managers (PIM) for the new Windows95 and it is slick. It has everything a good PIM should have plus it's fast, easy to use, and costs around forty bucks.

This was originally published on October 7, 1995. WinZip was the first GUI based utility to bring compression to the masses. It's funny, as I still have a very nice WinZip lithograph framed in my office. Today, WinZip has fallen to the wayside in terms of popularity, but it's still a great little utility.

Crosstalk is a product that has been around for almost a decade. Produced by the folks at DCA, Inc., it is the granddaddy of commercial terminal programs. With a price tag of $125.90, the product is priced higher than its Microcom counterpart. Packed in a black cover with yellow letters, the box is striking in its effect to draw users. Inside you will find a User's Guide, Programmer's Reference, both size disks, free offer to try CompuServe and a free offer to try Genie.
